Home Base
I tend to be a person that plays by my own rules. Or at least likes to believe I do. The creative part of my brain prefers figuring out my own way vs. being told exactly how to do it. Which is why I really enjoy encouraging others to do the same in their relationships and their homes.
My role is not to tell you the way your relationship should look or exactly how to parent, but instead to encourage you to collaborate on what you want it to look like so you can create a roadmap on how to get there.
On how to make your relationship a sustainable and soft place to land. And how to make your house a home. On how to create something the two of you are really proud of.
And in this season of Mother’s Day, I think about the importance of nesting and home. I believe that you and your partner have a great ability to create a lasting legacy of home for your family. To extend the path of something that was taught and passed down to you OR to radically undo patterns from the past as a way to create new for you and your home.
Take today as an opportunity to celebrate all the nurturance you pour into each other and into the branch of the family tree you’re growing.
And most importantly, celebrate the one that brings this all together in your life and home by celebrating the Mama in yours.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mamas working hard to nurture the home and relationships they’ve created.
Yours,
~ A
