The Little Things
We all know that little things done often get big results. It’s not the biggest most demonstrative effort done sporadically that makes a difference, it’s the little efforts done over and over again that yield big change. It’s true with exercise and eating habits, it’s true with finances and saving money and it’s certainly true in relationships.
The little things really add up.
But what exactly is it about the small gestures that end up building strong relationships?
It really comes down to the fact that small things done often is the definition of consistency. And consistency builds trust. And trust is the foundation to all things communication, intimacy and connection.
Which is wild when you think about it. Those little things done often, like bringing your partner a cup of coffee in the morning or being in charge of carpool (and doing it without fail) not only show how much you can count on each other but that your words align with your actions. And there is no deeper way to build and maintain trust than that!
Don’t underestimate the big impact that little things done often have in love!
You got this!
