Be the light

Winter is such an interesting season. It’s jam-packed with celebrations, gatherings, and excitement. It’s also cold outside with less daylight and an overall yearning to stay inside and hunker down. Big events combined with seasonal isolation. Like I said, it’s an interesting season.

And what I notice over and over during this time of year is how the lack of daylight can make us feel a bit dim. Maybe it’s the daunting task of making nice with annoying family members at holiday celebrations or just feeling a little more melancholy, but we definitely know it when it hits us.

This is exactly why it’s so important to be the light to each other, especially when you’re going through a rougher season. Maybe work stress has you overwhelmed, maybe relationship tension has you disheartened, or maybe you can’t quite explain why you’re feeling low.

Whatever it is, it speaks to why it’s so important to be the light to one another.

To encourage instead of criticize.
To show up rather than shut down.
To express appreciation.
To make time for each other.

All of these things bring light into each other’s lives and my hope is that you are able to take the time to radiate some of that light to each other.

And if you’re feeling low and need some extra light in your life; don’t hesitate to reach out. That’s exactly why I’m here.

Gratefully,

-A
